One Piece EB-04 Egghead Crisis Guide: Chase Cards, Box Odds and Our PSA 10 Zoro

Egghead Crisis (EB-04) hit Japan on January 31, 2026 and instantly became the One Piece set to rip. It is an Extra Booster with a deep chase lineup, artwork from the Egghead arc, and pull excitement well above its price point. Here is the full picture - including the card from this set we sent to PSA ourselves.

What is EB-04 Egghead Crisis?

EB-04 is a Japanese Extra Booster built around the Egghead story arc. Boxes run 24 packs of 6 cards, and the rarity spread covers Special (SP) cards, Secret Rares, Super Rares and alternate-art DON!! cards. The set introduces a new Jewelry Bonney leader built around life-manipulation strategies, and it is priced like an Extra Booster while hitting like a main set.

The chase cards

The headline pulls are the Special Alternate Art cards and the Koby manga rare. We put our money where our mouth is on this one: we pulled the Roronoa Zoro Special Alternate Art (PRB02-006), sent it to PSA, and it came back a Gem Mint 10 - you can see it as the cover image on our PSA grading guide. That is the calibre of card hiding in EB-04 packs.

Why the Japanese printing?

Japan gets One Piece sets first - EB-04 launched there months before any English equivalent - and Japanese product is the one serious collectors chase: earlier access, tighter print quality, and exclusive promo distribution. If you want the cards while the market is hottest, Japanese boxes are the way.

Quick FAQ

What is in an EB-04 booster box?

24 packs with 6 cards each - 144 cards per box, with the SP, Secret Rare and manga-art chase cards spread through the print run.

Is EB-04 worth opening or should I buy singles?

If you want specific cards, singles are always the efficient route. If you enjoy the rip, EB-04 is one of the better value Extra Boosters in recent memory - the chase lineup is deep enough that boxes hold their entertainment value.

Should I grade my EB-04 pulls?

Top SP and manga cards absolutely - our Zoro SAA came back PSA 10 and the premium is real. Check our PSA grading in Australia guide first though: with PSA's value tiers paused, only cards with genuine PSA 10 value are worth the current fees.
